PRELIUM SYLLABUS:

This is the first step to achieve your dream position, the preliminary exam is a qualifier for all the young aspirant to apply for Judiciary Preparation here examiner want to check your general knowledge, current affairs and aptitude level with the basic knowledge of the law which you have learnt in your graduate course.

The test medium will be a multiple choice question based where you have to choose the answer from the option which is mentioned in the questioner. This paper will cover all the subject of LLB Course curriculum, they will also check your comprehension part and language, although you have to be good in that part as well.

Here is a list of all the topics of Preliminary examination where you have to work:

  9. Tort Of Law
  10. Transfer Of Property Law

Those who cleared Prelims can appear in the mains examination as it is a qualifier for judiciary services. Now we can elaborate the syllabus of mains, what all the key areas and structure of the exam.

Syllabus of Mains:

A Generic study of all the subjects of law can prepare you for preliminary examinations, as it is MCQ based so the examiner can check your General Knowledge and Current Affairs part, on the basis of that you can appear in mains. Where one student should have knowledge about all the subjects.

Law aspirant should have conceptual clarity as well as critical thinking to understand the judgement and rule of law.

Mains examination tests are to assess the judicial candidate’s logical recognizing ability, they want to know that the candidate has clear with all the concept and able to give judgement on new topics.

All the state has different marking and Judiciary exam structure for their particular state, this paper will have descriptive medium it means you have to describe your answer in words and legal language is an important part which is mandatory-you can’t skip it.

As we mentioned above that each state has different local laws which they follow, so their exam pattern and topics are also different we are elaborating some of the state mains exam pattern here:

 Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Maharashtra, and Jammu & Kashmir

1st Paper: 100 Marks paper and duration will be 2 hrs

It will include Essay writing, legal writing and grammar portion

2nd Paper: 100 Marks and duration will be 2 hrs. which will be the objective test

3rd Paper: 100 Marks and Duration will be 2 hrs and it is related to your law subjects like transfer of property, civil procedure code, Indian contract act, the constitution of India.

4th Paper: 100 Marks and duration will be 2 hrs: it is also related to law but topics are a little bit different Indian Penal Code, CrPC, Law of Tort, Indian Evidence Act

 

Delhi

 

Paper I: General Knowledge and Language (250 marks) – Current affairs, Essay, Translation, and precise writing

Paper-II: Civil Law I( 200 marks)- Indian Contract Act, Indian Sale of Goods Act, Indian Partnership Act, Specific Relief Act, Hindu Law, Muslim Law, Delhi Rent control Act and Law of Torts

Paper III: Civil law II (200 marks)- Civil Procedure Code, Law of Evidence, Law of Limitation and Law of Registration

Paper III: Criminal Law (200 marks) -Criminal Procedure Code, Indian penal code and Indian Evidence Act

 

Haryana

Paper I: Civil Law I( 200 marks)-Code of Civil procedure, Punjab Courts Act, Indian Contract Act, Indian Sale of Goods Act, Indian Partnership Act, Specific Relief Act

Paper-II: Civil Law II (200 marks) – Hindu Law, Muslim Law and Customary Law, Law of Registration and Limitation

Paper III: Criminal Law (200 marks) – Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal procedure, Indian Evidence Act

Paper IV:  English- Essay (25 marks), Words and phrases (25 marks), Comprehension (25 marks), Corrections (25 marks)

Paper V: Language- Hindi in Devanagari Script (100/150 marks)
