CLAT 2022- 2023

CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is the first option for every student who wants to pursue law after class 12th. It is a single most powerful weapon that can lead the student into the NLU of his choice. There are currently 22 NLUs all over the country and one has to clear either CLAT Exam or AILET (applicable only for NLU Delhi) to get into one. The number of students who attempt the exam is increasing year by year and with this increase in students, it becomes quintessential for students to get proper guidance. Before going into the detail of the strategy that needs to be applied for clearing this exam, it is necessary to have an idea about the syllabus.
English – The questions will be based on a reading comprehension that is generally picked up from newspapers and other online sources. In order to be able to answer accurately, the student will have to properly analyze the passage and its theme. Only after reading and understanding it in an accurate manner, will he be able to answer it correctly.


Quantitative Techniques – The questions in this passage are based on graphs, paragraphs. Ideally the students should have ample practice in these types of questions as speed is the crucial factor given the paucity of time. Student can recover the time he has lost in other parts in this section. The questions are based on graphs and charts and are generally not very difficult. They are generally based on class 10th level and include topics such as algebra, ratios and proportions etc.

General Knowledge & Current Affairs – This section is mostly based on contemporary issues on both national as well as international level. A passage will be given and it will be followed by questions based on it. It is required that the students are already well aware of the topic. Apart from that they will be required to analyze reasoning pattern and form conclusions.
Logical Reasoning –This section is application based. Approximately 20 percent of the questions will be from this section and is it comparatively easier to attempt. The student will be required to recognize the kind of argument is given and then draw his conclusion. He will also be required to draw relationship from the passage.
Legal Aptitude – This section like other section is also comprehension based. A passage will be given based on some legal principle or case and then questions will be based on it. It is necessary for the students to have a prior knowledge of the legal concepts.
